Tis the season for gift giving and if you are like many people you are struggling with what to get and where to get it. Why not give eBay a shot this Christmas season? As you can see from the banner at the right Playstation 3 systems and games are a popular items.
Playstation 3 is the latest installment in the Sony line of gaming systems. This new system actually released about two years ago in the United States, Playstation 3 is still the most sought after game system.
What makes Playstation 3 stand out from other similar systems is the on board blue ray player. This among other things have made playstation outpace X-Box 360 even though it is priced much lower than the playstation 3.
Fun online play and tons of free downloadable demos makes this a better buy for the buck. However if four hundred dollars is a bit much for you to shell out this holiday season consider purchasing you Playstation 3 on eBay instead.
Already have your playstation 3 but have had problems with it after the warranty ran out? Purchase a system for parts on eBay starting for as little as $20.00! Never hurts to have back up parts for an expensive gaming system.
All in all we love our playstation 3! We bought ours last year and needless to say it has seen many hours of play. So far we have had no issues with the playstation we purchased and like I said we have had it awhile. We love the graphics and especially the built in Blue Ray player. Now we can upgrade to blue ray movies without the cost of a player.

Cell Phones and Insurance
If you have ever purchased a cell phone then you have been offered insurance for it. It sounds fairly reasonable, a few dollars a month for cell phone insurance and if anything goes wrong with your two hundred dollar cell phone then you are covered. Well maybe, there is this pesky little problem of a deductible you may have to pay.
It does not sound so bad to pay fifty dollars for a deductible on your cell phone insurance, however there are times when it may be ridiculous. Take our situation for example. My husband lost the back to his Razor V-3m cell phone. No big deal we will just run down to the cell phone retail outlet and pick one up. No, that would not be the case, because they do not carry them. You must get a completely new cell phone. Oh, well ok we have insurance that will be fine ahhh.... but we forgot about the deductible so now we can pay $50 to replace a perfectly good cell phone or have no battery cover!
We found another way, one of those decorative plastic covers is now covering the battery of my husbands Razor cell phone and the cell phone insurance we purchased was useless. It may be better to put the few dollars a month you pay for cellphone insurance in a savings account and just buy a cell phone should a problem arise. Just my opinion, you are free to take it or leave it.

Rock Band Review
We finally did it, we gave in and paid nearly $400.00 for a playstation 3. I thought that would be the end of big expenditures for a few days, boy was I wrong! The lovely men of my house decided they absolutely could not live without the newest, koolest game on the planet. So being the loving wife and mother I am, I smiled as we walked away from the store with a big box and without my $170.00 plus tax. We were the proud owners of Rock Band. Which included drums,guitar and microphone for the whole family to play!
I was skeptical at first that Rock Band would hold anyone attention for more than a week. But thankfully I was wrong my son and husband were hooked, making their own bands, getting funky hair cuts and tattos! They were in hog heaven! The game was difficult enough for a challenge but easy enough for me to get a few good gigs in on the drums. I think the producers may have a winner in Rock Band. Except for a few minor problems, like the equipment is crap and you can not return it to the store you purchased it from! We had this game less than 2 months and the guitar malfunctioned. The wammy bar would not work at all. Well we attempted to return it only to be shown the yellow dot on the INSIDE of the box flap that stated we were to contact the website to get it replaced. The official site was a bit difficult to navigate and unless you had a credit card you were not getting help anytime soon! To get the guitar shipped immediately you were to allow them to but $175.00 hold on your account to ensure you returned the bad one. That would not be so bad but it took them 60 days to release our money after they received the defective product. Very frustrating to say the least.
Whithin a month the new Rock Band guitar has begun to have problems and the foot peddle broke on the drum set. At this point I am very fed up with Rock Band and their periphials. The game was a great concept poorly executed. There needs to be better quality equipment and in store returns. All in all I could not recommend this game, the price point is way to high for the shoddy workmanship.
